TRAFFIC ALERT: Expect Lane Closings at Night on Route 571 in Carthage for Utility Work July 29 & 30

Where: Fairlawn Ave. (Missouri Route 571) south of Elk St. in Carthage

When: 7 p.m.-6 a.m., Wednesday & Thursday, July 29 & 30

What: Fairlawn Ave. (Route 571) CLOSED one lane at a time to allow CWEP crews to move power lines

Traffic Impacts:

  • Fairlawn Ave. (Route 571) CLOSED one lane at a time south of Elk St.
  • All lanes OPEN to traffic during daytime hours
  • No signed detours
  • Drivers should seek alternate route

Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.

This work is being done in advance of a project to build a new roundabout at the intersection of Elk Street/Fairlawn Ave./Garrison Ave. along with resurfacing of Missouri Route 571 between Fairview Ave. and I-49.
