Where: On- and off ramps on Missouri Route 171 between I-49 and the roundabout at Centennial Avenue in Webb City
When: 6 a.m.-6 p.m., Wednesday-Friday, July 14-16
What: Contractor crews will CLOSE ramps while removing the old driving surface on the ramps and westbound lanes of Route 171 and replacing with new surface. Ramps impacted include:
- Southbound I-49 at Route 171 in Carthage
- Westbound Route 171 at Missouri Route 96 near Carthage
- Westbound Route 171 at Old 66 Boulevard near Brooklyn Heights
Traffic Impacts:
- On- and off ramps CLOSED for up to a few hours where crews are working
- Traffic delays are possible
- Drivers should use caution when traveling through the work zone and watch for crews and equipment working close to traffic
- Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching the work zones
- No signed detours
- Drivers should find alternate route
(Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule)
Details: This work is part of a project to resurface approximately 26 miles of Route 171 between the Missouri/Kansas state line and I-49 along with relocating the intersection of Routes 171/96/YY near Carl Junction.
