MoDOT TRAFFIC ALERT: U.S. Route 60 Ramp CLOSURES at Glenstone Ave/Republic Road

What/When: 

• Eastbound U.S. Route 60 ramp to Republic Road CLOSED in Springfield
  • 8 p.m. Monday, November 22, until 6 a.m. Tuesday, November 23
• Southbound Glenstone Avenue ramp to Eastbound U.S. Route 60 CLOSED in Springfield
  • 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 23, until 6 a.m. Wednesday, November 24

Details: Contractor crews to pave the ramp as part of the U.S. Route 60 (James River Freeway)/Glenstone Avenue Interchange project

Traffic Impacts:

• Eastbound U.S. Route 60 ramp to Republic Road CLOSED at night
• Southbound Glenstone Avenue ramp to Eastbound U.S. Route 60 CLOSED at night
• Eastbound U.S. Route 60 open
• Glenstone Avenue, Republic Road and Harvard Avenue open
• Possible traffic delays

Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.

Project Facts:

• Add lane in Route 60 median in each direction between National Avenue & Route 65
• Consolidate Glenstone and Republic ramps to eastbound Route 60 at Harvard Avenue, remove existing eastbound on ramp near Nature Center Way
• Build roundabout on Glenstone Avenue at intersection with Nature Center Way/Republic Road
• Widen westbound Route 60 off ramp to Glenstone Avenue
• Replace deteriorating pavement on eastbound Route 60 west of Route 65
• All improvements can be made without needing additional property
• U.S. Route 60 (James River Freeway)/Glenstone Avenue Interchange Project
