Greene County – A project to upgrade sidewalks to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements, along various routes in Webster County, to begin the week of April 4, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
At times, driveways and business entrances may be gravel as crews remove sections of sidewalks that run across to install new pavement. Contractor crews, working with the businesses, are ensuring access to all businesses remain open during the work.
Drivers are urged to use caution as they travel over gravel at times at driveways and business entrances to reach their destinations.
Here’s a look at the project:
- Contractor crews upgrading sidewalks to conform to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements, including replacing sidewalk, removing sidewalks, and installing crosswalks, curb ramps and pedestrian signals
- Work will be done in the following locations:
- Webster County Route PP between Center Street and Route FF (Main Street) in Fordland
- Webster County Route M (Maddison Street) just west of Route F (Howard Street) in Niangua
- Webster County Route K between Route BB and Main Street in Seymour
- Business Route 60 between Bailey Circle and Mill Street in Rogersville
- Webster Country Route 38 between Banning Street and Hubble Drive in Marshfield
- 4 Intersections in Marshfield
- Webster County Route DD and Washington Street
- Webster County Route DD and Walnut Street
- Missouri Route 38 and Crittenden Street
- Webster County Route A and Third Street
- Driveway concrete replaced in half sections and temporary gravel driveways will be provided to allow access to the property
- Drivers may encounter flaggers and lane drops where crews are working
Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.
D & E Plumbing & Heating, Inc., Nixa is doing the work for a low bid amount of $723,029.
The project is to be completed by November 1, 2022.
