Greene County – Drivers can expect Greene County Route KK CLOSED east of Hidden Lake Lane beginning the week of May 2, when a project to replace a box culvert bridge begins north of Springfield, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
The box culvert bridge replacement will require Route KK to be closed for up to four months to allow contractor crews to replace the existing culvert with a new box culvert bridge.
Traffic Impacts:
- Route KK bridge closed east of Hidden Lake Lane
- Drivers will have access to entrances at either end of the Route KK bridge but will not be able to drive through the work zone
- No signed detour. Drivers should find alternate routes.
- Signs and message boards will alert drivers to the closure
Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.
The project is scheduled for completion by the end of August 2022.
The prime contractor is Hartman and Company, Inc., Springfield.
The total project cost is $197,000.
