MoDOT TRAFFIC ALERT: Lake Springfield Greenway Trail Bridge CLOSURE Over James River in Springfield

Where: Lake Springfield Greenway Trail Bridge CLOSED over James River in Springfield (locally known as the Old Iron Bridge)

When: Beginning Tuesday, May 3 with periodic closures. Completion date of repairs will be confirmed once extent of repairs is known. Updates will be available on social media.

What: Construction crews will be making repairs on the bridge

Traffic Impacts:

• Lake Springfield Greenway Trail bridge CLOSED periodically over James River in Springfield
• When the bridge is closed, those using the trail will need to utilize another access point that connects to the Galloway Creek Greenway trail
• Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts
