MoDOT TRAFFIC ALERT: U.S. Route 60 (James River Freeway) Bridge Lane Closures

In Springfield Monday-Thursday, June 27-30

Where: East and westbound U.S. Route 60 (James River Freeway) bridge lane closures between Missouri Route 413 (Sunshine Street) and Missouri Route 13 (Kansas Expressway) in south Springfield

When: 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. Monday - Thursday, June 27-30

What: MoDOT crews cleaning and sealing bridge deck/driving surfaces on east and westbound Route 60 bridges. The work is a preventative maintenance measure aimed at extending the life of the bridge.

Traffic Impacts:

  • East and westbound Route 60 (James River Freeway) bridge lane closures over Golden Avenue from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. Monday, June 27
  • East and westbound Route 60 (James River Freeway) bridge lane closures over South Creek from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 28
  • East and westbound Route 60 (James River Freeway) bridge lane closures over Wilson’s Creek from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. Wednesday - Thursday, June 29-30
  • Crews and equipment close to traffic in areas
  • Electronic message boards located near the planned road work will alert drivers to any changes in the work schedule
  • Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts
