Table Rock Lake, Taney/Stone County – The public is invited to a public meeting Tuesday, September 13, to view the design plans for replacing the Long Creek bridge over Table Rock Lake on Missouri Route 86 at the Taney/Stone county line, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
The come-and-go style meeting will be held 4:30 – 6 p.m., Tuesday, September 13, at OTC Table Rock Campus, Community Room 409, 10698 Historic Hwy 165, Hollister, MO 65672. NO FORMAL PRESENTATION IS PLANNED. Those who attend may come anytime between 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. to learn about the projects and ask questions.
To keep the community informed, attendees will view the bridge plans and other project-related documents.
Those unable to attend the in-person meeting can view exhibits and get project timeline information by visiting www.modot.org/southwest.
Following an in-person meeting in February 2019, MoDOT made the decision to locate the new bridge south of the existing bridge. Route 86 will remain open for much of the expected two-year-long construction of the new structure. It will be necessary to close Route 86 for short periods to connect the new bridge to the existing roadway toward the end of the project.
Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.
