MEDIA ADVISORY: MoDOT, MSHP and Regional Safety Advocates Highlight Dangers of Traffic Incidents with Mock Exercise Nov. 15

To bring attention to the hazards of working along busy highways the week of Nov. 14-18 has been designated National Crash Responders Safety Week. MoDOT and its emergency response partners will use the week to hold a special training exercise next week on Tuesday, November 15.
Here are the details:
- Who: The Missouri Department of Transportation, Missouri State Highway Patrol, local law enforcement and safety advocates across the Springfield region.
- What: Traffic incident management exercise to simulate the response to overturned trucks, both large and small, using the skills and traffic management techniques targeted in the National Traffic Incident Management Responder Training course
- When: 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2022
- Where: Strafford CDL Testing Facility,6951 State Highway OO, Strafford 65757
A special viewing area in a designated safety zone for our media partners will be available, and opportunities for interviews will be available following the conclusion of the full-scale exercise.
