TRAFFIC ALERT: Lane Reduction, Traffic Delays on Route 59 in McDonald Co. Beginning Week of March 6

Missouri Route 59 Streambank Stabilization and Sidewalk Improvements in McDonald

Where: Lane closures on Missouri Route 59 (Cliffside Drive) between Missouri Route 90 and Main Street in Noel

When: 7 a.m., Monday, March 6 and for the next several weeks

What: This is part of the project to stabilize the streambank and make sidewalk improvements along the Elk River

Traffic Impacts:

  • One lane closed on Route 59 with traffic controlled by temporary traffic signals
  • One lane of Route 59 OPEN at all times
  • All lanes of Route 59 OPEN if construction pauses for longer than two (2) weeks
  • Drivers should expect traffic delays, equipment and contractor crews close to traffic
  • No signed detours
  • Drivers are urged to find alternate routes
  • Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching the work zones
  • Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts

Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.
