MoDOT TRAFFIC ALERT: Westbound I-44 Lane Closures In Springfield During Nighttime Hours

Where: Westbound I-44 lane Closures between U.S. Route 65 and Missouri Route 13/Kansas Expressway (mile markers 77-82) in Springfield

When: 8 p.m. - 5:30 a.m. Mondays -Thursdays, beginning Monday, May 1

What: Crews to repair pavement at various locations on westbound I-44. When westbound is complete, crews will continue work on eastbound I-44.

Traffic Impacts:

• Westbound I-44 lane Closures between U.S. Route 65 and Missouri Route 13/Kansas Expressway (mile markers 77-82) in Springfield
• At least one westbound I-44 lane OPEN at all times
• Eastbound I-44 Open
• Drivers will encounter flaggers directing traffic through the work zone where crews are working
• No signed detours, drivers are urged to find alternate routes
• Signs and message boards will alert drivers to work zone
• Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts
