What: Cherry Street bridge over U.S. Route 65 OPEN
When: 3 p.m., Today, Friday, September 8
What: Contractor crews closed the Cherry Street bridge on August 14, to rehabilitate and resurface the bridge, install new barrier walls, guardrail and sidewalk improvements on both sides of the bridge and pedestrian fencing along the north side of the bridge. This contract includes the Route 65 resurfacing just north and south of Greene County Route D (Sunshine Street) and Battlefield Road resurfacing and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) work between Moulder Avenue and Ruskin Way in Springfield.

- Total project cost: $1.5 million
