MoDOT: Missouri Route 7 Resurfacing and Intersection Improvements in Clinton

Beginning the week of September 25

Henry County – Drivers can expect occasional lane closures and traffic delays when a project to resurface and install intersection improvements at Missouri Route 7 and Missouri Route 13 in Clinton is scheduled to begin the week of September 25, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

This project will resurface the intersection of Missouri Route 7 / Route 13 / Route 52 / Route 18 (Ohio Street) as well as lengthen the right turn lanes on Route 13 / Route 52 south of Route 7 / Route 18 and Route 18 (Ohio Street) west of Route 13 / Route 52 to improve safety and traffic flow. Crews will begin setting work zone signs and bringing in equipment the week of September 18.

Traffic Impacts:

  • Lane closures and delays on Route 7, Route 13, Route 52 and Route 18 in Clinton
  • Intersection to remain OPEN during the project
  • Drivers urged to find alternate routes. No signed detours are planned.
  • Electronic message boards located near the planned road work will alert drivers to any changes in the work schedule
  • Electronic message boards and news releases will warn the public of closures
  • Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts

Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.

  • Total project cost: $3.4 million
  • Contract completion date: October 31, 2023
