Republic – A project to install a shared use path to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements, along Greene County Route ZZ between Greene County Route M and Farm Road 182 in Republic, to begin the week of October 23, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
At times, driveways and business entrances may be gravel as crews install sections of the shared use path that run across to install new pavement. Contractor crews, working with the businesses, are ensuring access to all businesses remain open during the work.
Drivers are urged to use caution as they travel over gravel at times at driveways and business entrances to reach their destinations.
Here’s a look at the project:
- Contractor crews to install shared use path to conform to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements, installing crosswalks, pavement marking and updating signs
- Driveway concrete replaced in half sections and temporary gravel driveways will be provided to allow access to the property
- Drivers may encounter flaggers, shoulder closures and lane drops where crews are working
Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.
Radmacher Brothers Excavating, Pleasant Hill is doing the work for a low bid amount of $1.3 million. Funding of the project includes a cost-share with Ozarks Transportation Organization and Ozark Greenways, Inc.
The project is to be completed by November 1, 2024.
