MoDOT TRAFFIC ALERT: Westbound I-44 (mile maker 110) Conway Rest Area CLOSURE

Where: Westbound I-44 (mile maker 110) Conway Rest Area CLOSED

When: 3 p.m. Tuesday, January 30, until 5 p.m. Wednesday, January 31

What: The westbound I-44 entrance ramp to the Conway Rest Area will close at 3 p.m. Tuesday, January 30. Those already parked in the lot must leave the rest area by 7 a.m., Wednesday, January 31. Contractor crews will repair the Conway Rest Area exit pavement ramp onto westbound I-44 (mile marker 110). Once the exit ramp work is complete the rest area will be reopened. Crews will then close off sections of the truck parking areas of the westbound welcome center for repair work. Parking remains available, but the number of available slots will be temporarily reduced. When the westbound truck parking area work is complete, crews will move to the eastbound I-44 rest stop truck parking areas to close off sections for repair work. The eastbound I-44 Conway Rest Area will remain open during repair work.

Traffic Impacts:

  • Westbound I-44 (mile maker 110) Conway Rest Area CLOSED from 3 p.m. Tuesday, January 30, until 5 p.m. Wednesday, January 31
  • Those parked in the rest area before 3 p.m. on Tuesday, January 30 have until 7 a.m. Wednesday, January 31 to leave the lot
  • After westbound I-44 Conway Rest Area is open, truck parking will remain available, but the number of available slots will be temporarily reduced during repair work
  • After westbound I-44 Conway Rest Area work is completed, crews will work on eastbound I-44 Conway Rest Area truck parking
  • Eastbound rest area truck parking will remain available, but the number of available slots will be temporarily reduced during repair work
  • I-44 is OPEN
  • Crews and equipment close to traffic in areas
  • Electronic message boards located near the planned road work will alert drivers to any changes in the work schedule
  • Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts

Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.
