JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work planned in the mid-Missouri area Feb. 12 – 18. Weather conditions may postpone the scheduled work. Many projects will include lane closures that could cause delays.
All Counties
Moving operations such as brush cutting, and pavement repair continue in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert for slow-moving equipment.
Boone County
Route K – Roadside work planned Feb. 13 - 16, from Route KK to state maintenance ends. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Interstate 70 – Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.
Callaway County
Missouri Route 94 – Roadside work planned Feb. 13 - 16. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route K – Roadside work planned Feb. 13 - 16. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route EE – Culvert pipe replacement planned Feb. 13. All lanes will be closed from County Road 1024 to County Road 1006, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Route EE – Culvert pipe replacement planned Feb. 14. All lanes will be closed from County Road 1006 to County Road 1002, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Route EE – Culvert pipe replacement planned Feb. 15. All lanes will be closed from County Road 1002 to County Road 1020, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Cole County
Route W – Culvert pipe replacement planned Feb. 13 - 15 from Rock Creek Road to state maintenance ends. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Cooper County
Katy Trail – The Katy Trail will be closed from the city of Rocheport to the Rocheport Bridge on Feb. 15, from 7 am to 6 pm for construction of the new eastbound I-70 bridge. Signs and barricades will be in place advising of the closure due to construction traffic on the trail.
I-70 – Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.
Crawford County
Missouri Route 19 – Bridge maintenance planned Feb. 13 - 14 over I-44 in Cuba. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route 19 – Pavement marking planned Feb. 13 - 16 from Route DD to Eldon Ave. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Missouri Route 8 – Roadside work planned Feb. 13 - 16 from the city of Steelville to the city of Berryman. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Missouri Route 49 – Roadside work planned Feb. 13 - 16 from Route 19 to the city of Viburnum. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route VV – Roadside work planned Feb. 13 - 16 from Route M to Beers Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Routes H and DD – Culvert pipe replacements planned Feb. 13 -16. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.
Routes H, M, O, DD and ZZ – Roadside work planned Feb. 13 - 16. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.
Gasconade County
Route 19 – Roadside work planned Feb. 13 from the city of Owensville to Route 28. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.
Route K – Culvert pipe replacements planned Feb. 13- 16. All lanes will be closed at several locations (changing daily) between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Route 19 – ADA upgrades to pedestrian facilities in the city of Hermann - through April 2024. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Howard County
Route 124 – Pavement repair planned Feb. 13 from Missouri Route 240 to Route Y. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route E – Pavement repair planned Feb. 13 from Missouri Route 87 to Missouri Route 5. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route AA – Pavement repair planned Feb. 13 - 16 from Route 87 to Route E. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Laclede County
I-44 – Bridge maintenance planned at the Gasconade River Bridge, near mile marker 143. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Maries County
Missouri Route 28 – Culvert pipe replacements planned Feb. 13 - 16 in the city limits of Belle. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.
Missouri Route 133 – Culvert pipe replacements planned Feb. 13 - 16 south of Route DD. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.
Routes E, W, and Y – Pavement repair planned Feb. 13 - 16. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.
Route 28 – Bridge replacement continues at the Dry Fork Creek Bridge south of Belle. The road is closed to all traffic and a signed detour is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.
Moniteau County
Business Route 50 – ADA upgrades to pedestrian facilities in the city of California planned to begin Feb 12 - 16. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Morgan County
Route T – Roadside work planned Feb. 13 - 16. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route NN – Pavement repair planned Feb. 13 - 16. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Osage County
Route HH – Pavement repair planned Feb. 13 - 15. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
U.S. Route 50 – Bridge maintenance planned Feb. 14 - 16 at the Osage River Bridge. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Phelps County
Route P – Culvert pipe replacement planned Feb. 14 - 15 from County Road 7570 to Route AA. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
I-44 – Road resurfacing and reconstruction continues from Exit 186 in Rolla to Exit 195 in St. James. Expect around-the-clock lane closures from U.S. Route 63 to Missouri Route 68. An 11-foot width restriction is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in late fall 2024.
Pulaski County
I-44 – Pavement repair planned Feb. 13 from mile marker 145 to 160. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Missouri Route 17 – Roadside work planned Feb. 13 - 15 from Route K to the city of Crocker. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route MM – Pavement repair planned Feb. 13 - 16. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.
Route Z – Pavement repair planned Feb. 14 from Missouri Route 28 to Route J. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
I-44 – Bridge rehabilitation continues at the Roubidoux Creek Bridge near mile marker 158.4. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.
I-44 – Bridge rehabilitation continues at the Big Piney River Bridge near mile marker 165.8. One lane will remain closed for the duration of the project between Exits 163 and 169. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.
Washington County
Missouri Route 21 – Roadside work planned Feb. 13 - 14 between Simpson Road and Missouri Route 47. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route U – Roadside work planned Feb. 13 -16 between Zinc Mine Road north and Zinc Mine Road south. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Missouri Route 8 – Bridge maintenance planned Feb. 14 - 16 at Old Highway 8. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route U – Bridge maintenance planned Feb. 14 - 21 south of Zinc Mine Road south. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route A – Bridge replacement planned at the Cyclone Hollow Bridge. The road is closed to all traffic. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2024.
