JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work planned in the mid-Missouri area Feb. 19 – 25. Weather conditions may postpone the scheduled work. Many projects will include lane closures that could cause delays.
All Counties
Moving operations such as brush cutting, and pavement repair continue in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert for slow-moving equipment.
Boone County
Missouri Route 163 (Providence Road) – Roadside work planned Feb. 20 from Turner Road to Fifth Street. The sidewalk will be closed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Work is being done by Reinhardt Construction under a MoDOT-issued permit.
Route K – Roadside work planned Feb. 20 - 23, from Route KK to the end of state maintenance. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route DD – Utility work planned Feb. 20 - 23 from Edwards Road to Nashville Church Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily. Work is being done by Callabyte Technology LLC under a MoDOT-issued permit.
Route KK – Culvert pipe replacements planned Feb. 21 - 22. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.
Interstate 70 – Westbound Exit 128 CLOSED. Pavement repair planned Feb. 21 at the westbound ramp at Exit 128. All lanes of the ramp will be closed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
I-70 – Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.
Callaway County
Route A – Culvert pipe replacement planned Feb. 20. All lanes will be closed from County Road 1006 to County Road 1012 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Missouri Route 94 – Roadside work planned Feb. 20 - 23. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route K – Roadside work planned Feb. 20 - 23. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Cooper County
Route HH – Bridge replacement project at the Brush Creek Bridge. The road is closed to all traffic. Motorists need to seek an alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.
I-70 – Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.
Crawford County
Route 19 – Pavement marking planned Feb. 20 - 23 from Route DD to Eldon Ave. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Routes H and DD – Culvert pipe replacements planned Feb. 20 -23. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.
Routes H, O, DD and ZZ – Roadside work planned Feb. 20 - 23. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.
Dent County
Route H – Culvert pipe replacement planned Feb. 20 - 23, 1 mile east of Route C. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.
Gasconade County
Route K – Culvert pipe replacements planned Feb. 20 - 23. All lanes will be closed at several locations (changing daily) between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Route 19 – ADA upgrades to pedestrian facilities in the city of Hermann through April 2024. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.
Howard County
Route 124 – Pavement repair planned Feb. 22 - 23 from Missouri Route 240 to Route Y. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route E – Pavement repair planned Feb. 22 - 23 from Missouri Route 87 to Missouri Route 5. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route AA – Pavement repair planned Feb. 22 - 23 from Route 87 to Route E. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Laclede County
Route A – Culvert pipe replacements planned Feb. 19 at Birch Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.
Route O – Culvert pipe replacements planned Feb. 22 - 23. All lanes will be closed daily at Route AD between the hours of 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Outer Route 44 (Campground Road) – Culvert pipe replacements planned Feb. 22 - 23. All lanes will be closed daily at Nickel Drive between the hours of 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Maries County
Missouri Route 28 – Culvert pipe replacements planned Feb. 20 - 23 in the city limits of Belle. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.
Missouri Route 133 – Culvert pipe replacements planned Feb. 20 - 23 north of Missouri Route 42. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.
Routes E, W, and Y – Pavement repair planned Feb. 20 - 23. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.
Route 28 – Bridge replacement continues at the Dry Fork Creek Bridge south of Belle. The road is closed to all traffic and a signed detour is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.
Moniteau County
Route B – ADA upgrades to pedestrian facilities in the city of Tipton are scheduled to begin Feb 20 - 23. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.
Morgan County
Route T – Roadside work planned Feb. 20 - 23. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route T – Culvert replacement planned Feb. 22 from Missouri Route 52 to Fairground Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Phelps County
Route HH – Culvert pipe replacement planned Feb. 20 - 23. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
I-44 – Road resurfacing and reconstruction continues from Exit 186 in Rolla to Exit 195 in St. James. Expect around-the-clock lane closures from U.S. Route 63 to Missouri Route 68. An 11-foot width restriction is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in late fall 2024.
Pulaski County
Missouri Route 17 – Roadside work planned Feb. 20 - 22 from Route K to the city of Crocker. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route MM – Pavement repair planned Feb. 20 - 23. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.
Route Z – Pavement repair planned Feb. 21 from Missouri Route 28 to Route J. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
I-44 – Bridge rehabilitation continues at the Roubidoux Creek Bridge near mile marker 158.4. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.
I-44 – Bridge rehabilitation continues at the Big Piney River Bridge near mile marker 165.8. One lane will remain closed for the duration of the project between Exits 163 and 169. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.
Washington County
Route A – Bridge replacement continues at the Cyclone Hollow Bridge. The road is closed to all traffic and motorists will need to use an alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2024.
