JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work planned in the mid-Missouri area March. 4 - 10. Weather conditions may postpone the scheduled work. Many projects will include lane closures that could cause delays.
All Counties
Moving operations such as brush cutting and pavement repair continue in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert for slow-moving equipment.
Boone County
Missouri Route 124 – Pavement repair planned March 4 - 8 from Route Y to U.S. Route 63. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route K – Roadside work planned March 4 - 8 from Route KK to the end of state maintenance. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route DD – Utility work planned March 4 - 8 from Edwards Road to Nashville Church Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily. Work is being done by Callabyte Technology LLC under a MoDOT-issued permit.
U.S. Route 63 – Utility work planned March 6 - 8 from Martin Lane to Loy Martin Road between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily. Work is being done by Callabyte Technology LLC under a MoDOT-issued permit.
Interstate-70 – Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.
Callaway County
Route C – Culvert replacements planned March 4 between County Road 406 and County Road 418. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route TT – Roadside work planned March 4 - 6. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route B – Culvert pipe replacements planned March 5 - 6. All lanes will be closed from County Road 1027 to Route N between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Route EE – Culvert pipe replacements planned March 7. All lanes will be closed from County Road 1002 to County Road 1022 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Route YY – Culvert pipe replacements planned March 8. All lanes will be closed from Jade Road to County Road 177 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.
U.S. Route 54 – Bridge washing to begin March 7, taking place nightly, seven days a week, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. at the Missouri River Bridge. One lane to be closed during nighttime hours. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.
Route BB – Bridge deck replacement project continues at the Hillers Creek Bridge. The road is closed to all traffic with a signed detour in place. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.
U.S. Route 63/Missouri Route 94 over U.S. Route 54 – Bridge rehabilitation begins on March 4 underneath the overpass bridge. Work will take place 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. weekdays on the shoulder of U.S. Route 54. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.
Route W over U.S. Route 54 – Bridge rehabilitation begins on March 4 underneath the overpass bridge. Work will take place 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. weekdays on the shoulder of U.S. Route 54. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.
Camden County
Route BB – Roadside work planned March 4 from Pelican Drive to Missouri Route 7. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route 7 – Roadside work planned March 4 - 8. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Cole County
U.S. Route 54 – Bridge washing to begin March 7, taking place nightly, seven days a week, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. at the Missouri River Bridge. One lane to be closed during nighttime hours. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.
Cooper County
Route K – Culvert pipe replacements planned March 6. All lanes will be closed 2.5 miles north of Route M between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Route K – Culvert pipe replacements planned March 7. All lanes will be closed 5 miles north of Route M between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Route HH – Bridge replacement project continues at the Brush Creek Bridge. The road is closed to all traffic. Motorists need to seek an alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.
I-70 – Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.
Crawford County
Missouri Route 8 – Roadside work planned March 4 - 8 from the city of Steelville to the city of Berryman. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route 19 – Roadside work planned March 4 - 8 from Grand Road to McCormick Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Missouri Route 49 – Roadside work planned March 4 - 8 from Route 19 to the city of Viburnum. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route M – Roadside work planned March 4 - 8. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.
Route VV – Roadside work planned March 4 - 8 from Route M to Beers Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Dent County
Route 19 – Roadside work planned March 4 - 8, at the Standing Rock Creek Bridge. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.
Gasconade County
Route ZZ – Culvert pipe replacements planned March 4 - 8. All lanes will be closed at several locations (changing daily) between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Route 19 – ADA upgrades to pedestrian facilities in the city of Hermann through April 2024. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.
Howard County
Route 124 – Pavement repair planned March 4 - 8 from Route Y to U.S. Route 63. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route E – Pavement repair planned March 7 - 8 from Missouri Route 87 to Missouri Route 5. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route AA – Pavement repair planned March 7 - 8 from Route 87 to Route E. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Laclede County
Route BB – Culvert replacement planned March 4 from Pelican Drive to Missouri Route 7. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route A – Culvert replacement planned March 5 at Birch Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Outer Road 44 (Route 66 Trail) – Culvert replacement planned March 6 at Rustic Drive. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route 5 – Culvert replacement planned March 7 at Cole Drive. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route O – Culvert pipe replacement planned March 7 - 8. All lanes will be closed 500 feet east of Route AD between the hours of 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Outer Road 44 (Campground Road) – Culvert replacement planned March 8 at Nickel Drive. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route BB – Culvert pipe extension starts March 4. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.
Route F – Culvert pipe extension starts March 4. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.
Maries County
Missouri Route 28 – Culvert pipe replacements planned March 4 - 8 in the city limits of Belle. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.
Missouri Route 133 – Culvert pipe replacements planned March 4 - 8 north of Missouri Route 42. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.
Route 28 – Pavement repairs planned March 4 - 8. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.
Route N – Culvert pipe replacements planned March 4 - 8 in the city limits of Brinktown. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.
Route AA – Pavement repairs planned March 4 - 8. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.
Route 28 – Bridge replacement continues at the Dry Fork Creek Bridge south of Belle. The road is closed to all traffic and a signed detour is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.
Miller County
Route 42 – Culvert pipe replacement planned March 4 - 8 from Pemberton Drive to Missouri Route 17. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route CC – ADA upgrades to pedestrian facilities in the city of Eldon are scheduled March 4 - 8. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.
Moniteau County
U.S. Route 50 – ADA upgrades to pedestrian facilities in the city of Tipton are scheduled March
4 - 8. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.
Route 87 – ADA upgrades to pedestrian facilities in the city of California are scheduled March 4 - 8. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.
Route B – ADA upgrades to pedestrian facilities in the city of Tipton are scheduled March 4 - 8. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.
Route V – Pavement repairs planned March 4 - 8 from Sestak Road to Morrow Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route T – Culvert pipe replacements planned March 5 - 6 from Route C to Harmony School Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.
Morgan County
Route NN – Pavement repairs planned March 4 - 7. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Phelps County
Routes J, K, M, and ZZ – Roadside work planned March 4 - 8. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.
I-44 – Road resurfacing and reconstruction continues from Exit 186 in Rolla to Exit 195 in St. James. Expect around-the-clock lane closures from U.S. Route 63 to Missouri Route 68. An 11-foot width restriction is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in late fall 2024.
Pulaski County
Route 133 – Culvert pipe replacement planned March 4, 0.1 miles north of Beacon Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.

Route 133 – Culvert pipe replacement planned March 6 – 8, 0.1 miles north of Cypress Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.
I-44 – Bridge rehabilitation continues at the Roubidoux Creek Bridge near mile marker 158.4. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.
I-44 – Bridge rehabilitation continues at the Big Piney River Bridge near mile marker 165.8. One lane will remain closed for the duration of the project between Exits 163 and 169. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.
Washington County
Route 8 – Bridge maintenance planned March 4 - 8 at Old Highway 8. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Missouri Route 185 – Roadside work planned March 4 - 8 from Route T to Route N. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route A – Bridge replacement continues at the Cyclone Hollow Bridge. The road is closed to all traffic and motorists will need to use an alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2024.
