Roads CLOSED east of Kansas Expressway in Springfield:

  • High Street from 7 a.m. Tuesday, March 12 until 7 a.m. Tuesday, March 19
  • Hovey Street from 7 a.m. Tuesday, March 12 until 7 a.m. Tuesday, March 19
  • Calhoun Street from 7 a.m. Tuesday, March 12 until 7 a.m. Tuesday, March 19
  • Scott Street from 7 a.m. Wednesday, March 13 until 7 a.m. Wednesday, March 20

What: Contractor crews to pave the approach to Kansas Expressway (Missouri Route 13) as part of the Kansas Expressway Pedestrian Improvements Project in Greene County.

Traffic Impacts:

  • High Street CLOSED east of Kansas Expressway March 12 – 19
  • Hovey Street CLOSED east of Kansas Expressway March 12 – 19
  • Calhoun Street CLOSED east of Kansas Expressway March 12 – 19
  • Scott Street CLOSED east of Kansas Expressway March 13 – 20
  • Kansas Expressway (Missouri Route 13) Open
  • Drivers urged to find alternate routes
  • No signed detours are planned
  • Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts

Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.

Project Information:

  • D & E Plumbing & Heating, Inc., Nixa is doing the work for a low bid amount of $13.3 million and is a cost-share with the City of Springfield.
  • The project is to be completed by November 1, 2024.
