Planned Road Work for Mid-Missouri

March 11 - 17, 2024

EFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work planned in the mid-Missouri area March 11 - 17. Weather conditions may postpone the scheduled work. Many projects will include lane closures that could cause delays.   

All Counties     

Moving operations such as brush cutting and pavement repair continue in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert for slow-moving equipment.    

Boone County 

Route K – Roadside work planned March 11 - 15 from Route KK to Missouri Route 163One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.  

Route DD Utility work planned March 11 - 15 from Edwards Road to Nashville Church Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily. Work is being done by Callabyte Technology LLC under a MoDOT-issued permit.   

U.S. Route 63 Utility work planned March 11 - 15 from Martin Lane to Loy Martin Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily. Work is being done by Callabyte Technology LLC under a MoDOT-issued permit.  

Route M Utility work planned March 11 - 15 from Route DD to Liberty Lane. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily. Work is being done by Callabyte Technology LLC under a MoDOT-issued permit.   

 

Interstate-70 – Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.     

Callaway County      

Route EE – Culvert pipe replacements planned March 11. All lanes will be closed from County Road 1020 to County Road 1002 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. 

Route Z – Intersection improvements planned March 11 at Wood Street. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.  

Route YY – Culvert pipe replacements planned March 12 - 13. All lanes will be closed from Jade Road to County Road 177 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. 

Route YY – Culvert pipe replacements planned March 14. All lanes will be closed from Jade Road to the end of state maintenance between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. 

Route E – Pavement repairs planned March 14. All lanes will be closed just west of Old Highway 54 in the city of Auxvasse between the hours of 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. 

U.S. Route 54 – Bridge washing continues, taking place nightly, seven days a week, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. at the Missouri River Bridge.One lane to be closed during nighttime hours.  The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.   

Route BB – Bridge deck replacement project continues at the Hillers Creek Bridge. The road is closed to all traffic with a signed detour in place. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.   

U.S. Route 63/Missouri Route 94 over U.S. Route 54 Bridge rehabilitation continues underneath the overpass bridge. Work will take place 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. weekdays on the shoulder of U.S. Route 54.  The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.   

Route W over U.S. Route 54 – Bridge rehabilitation continues underneath the overpass bridge. Work will take place 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. weekdays on the shoulder of U.S. Route 54.  The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.  

Eastbound U.S. Route 54 – Widening eastbound U.S. Route 54 from the Missouri River Bridge to the U.S. Route 63 interchange begins March 11. Work will take place on the right shoulder of U.S. Route 54 behind a temporary barrierThe project is scheduled for completion in May 2024.  

Missouri Route 94 – Shoulder work begins March 11 from the U.S. Route 54 interchange to Wehmeyer Drive. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2024.  

 

Camden County      

Route 7 Culver replacements planned March 11 – 11 in the city of Climax Springs. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Cole County    

Route J – Culvert replacements planned March 11 - 14, 1 mile west of the community of Osage City. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.  

U.S. Route 54 – Bridge maintenance planned March 11 - 15 westbound over Stadium Boulevard 

Route C – Roadside work planned March 11 - 15, from Hill Crest Street to Halter Street. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.  

Madison Street Bridge maintenance planned March 12 - 13 on Madison Street on ramp to U.S. Route 54. The on ramp from Madison Street to U.S. Route 54 westbound will be closed between from 7:30 a.m. March 12 to 8:30 a.m. March 13. Motorists need to seek an alternate route.

Cooper County      

Route K – Culvert pipe replacements planned March 12. All lanes will be closed from Fray Street to County Park Ave between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. 

Route HH – Bridge replacement project continues at the Brush Creek Bridge. The road is closed to all traffic. Motorists need to seek an alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.       

I-70 – Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.   

Crawford County    

Missouri Route 19 – Pavement repairs planned March 11 - 14 from Winklemann Road to the city of Cuba. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.  

Route 19 – Roadside work planned March 11 - 14 from Grand Road to McCormick Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Missouri Route 49 – Roadside work planned March 11 - 14 from Route 19 to the city of Viburnum. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.  

Route VV – Roadside work planned March 11 - 14 from Route M to Route 19. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route 19 – Roadside work planned March 11 - 15 from Grand Road to McCormick Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Routes H, P, and PP – Pavement repairs planned March 1115. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.  

Routes H and M Roadside work planned March 11 - 15. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. 

 

Dent County     

Route 19 Roadside work planned March 11 - 15, at the Standing Rock Creek Bridge. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.   

 

Gasconade County     

Route Z Culvert pipe replacements planned March 11 - 15. All lanes will be closed at several locations (changing daily) between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. 

Route 19ADA upgrades to pedestrian facilities in the city of Hermann through April 2024. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.  

 

Howard County 

Route E – Pavement repair planned March 11 - 14 from Missouri Route 87 to County Road 220. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route AA – Pavement repair planned March 11 - 14 from Route 87 to Route E. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.    

Laclede County 

Route B – Culvert pipe replacements planned March 11 - 13. All lanes will be closed at Caleb’s Creek Park between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. 

Maries County 

Route 28 – Pavement repairs planned March 11 - 15. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.   

Missouri Route 133 – Pavement repairs planned March 11 - 15 from Route C to Missouri Route 52. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.  

Route AA Pavement repairs planned March 11 - 15. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.  

Route 28 – Bridge replacement continues at the Dry Fork Creek Bridge, south of Belle. The road is closed to all traffic and a signed detour is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.      

Missouri Route 133 – Road resurfacing begins March 11 from Missouri Route 52 in Maries County to U.S. Route 63 in Osage County. There will be daily lane closures from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2024.  

 

Miller County 

Missouri Route 42 Culvert pipe replacement planned March 11 - 15 from Pemberton Drive to Missouri Route 17. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Moniteau County 

U.S. Route 50 – ADA upgrades to pedestrian facilities in the city of Tipton are scheduled March 11 - 15. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.   

Missouri Route 87 ADA upgrades to pedestrian facilities in the city of California are scheduled March 11 - 15. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.   

Missouri Route 179 – ADA upgrades to pedestrian facilities in the city of Jamestown are scheduled March 13 - 15. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.   

Route B – ADA upgrades to pedestrian facilities in the city of Tipton are scheduled March 11 - 15. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.   

Route T – Culvert pipe replacements planned March 11 - 13 from Route C to Harmony School Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.   

 

Morgan County 

U.S. Route 50 – ADA upgrades to pedestrian facilities in the city of Syracuse are scheduled March 11 - 15. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.   

Missouri Route 135 – ADA upgrades to pedestrian facilities in the city of Stover are scheduled March 13 - 15. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.   

Osage County      

Routes U and Z – Culvert replacements planned March 11 - 14. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.  

Missouri Route 133 – Road resurfacing beings March 11 from Missouri Route 52 in Maries County to U.S. Route 63 in Osage County. There will be daily lane closures from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2024.  

Phelps County      

Route H Culvert replacements planned March 13 - 14 in the city of Edgar Springs at Broadway. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.  

I-44 – Road resurfacing and reconstruction continues from Exit 186 in Rolla to Exit 195 in St. James. Expect around-the-clock lane closures from U.S. Route 63 to Missouri Route 68. An 11-foot width restriction is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in late fall 2024.       

 

Pulaski County 

I-44 – Bridge rehabilitation continues at the Roubidoux Creek Bridge near mile marker 158.4.The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024.   

I-44 – Bridge rehabilitation continues at the Big Piney River Bridge near mile marker 165.8. One lane will remain closed for the duration of the project between Exits 163 and 169. The project is scheduled for completion in April 2024. 

Washington County 

Route C – Pavement repairs planned March 11 - 14 from Missouri Route 21 to Route Z. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.  

Missouri Route 185 – Roadside work planned March 11 - 15 from Route T to Route N. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.   

Route A – Bridge replacement continues at the Cyclone Hollow Bridge. The road is closed to all traffic and motorists will need to use an alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2024.
