JEFFERSON CITY, Mo – The Missouri Department of Transportation is holding an online public meeting and two-week comment period for an upcoming pavement improvement project on Route D in Camden and Laclede counties and Route E in Laclede and Dallas counties. The online meeting will be active from April 22 – May 6, though the meeting materials will be available after the meeting has ended.
The current plans include:
Route D
- Asphalt resurfacing from U.S. Route 54 in Camden County to Route E in Laclede County.
- Safety improvements on the 4.75 miles through Ha Ha Tonka State Park will require the acquisition of additional right of way. These safety improvements include:
- New shoulders.
- Centerline rumble stripes.
- Shifting the road away from the historic post office.
Route E
- Asphalt resurfacing from Missouri Route 5 in Laclede County to the end of state maintenance in Dallas County.
At this time, the traffic control plans do not include closing the road. Instead, they call for a lane closure with flaggers directing motorists through the work zone.
The online public meeting and two-week comment period will be held April 22 – May 6. The community and interested parties can explore the proposed improvements and then submit input and ask questions through a multitude of avenues:
- Online – All meeting exhibits are available on the project page and feedback may be submitted using the form.
