RESCHEDULED to Begin the Week of May 13
Stone County – Drivers can expect lane closures and occasional traffic delays on Missouri Route 13 in Stone County during nighttime hours for a resurfacing project beginning the week of May 13, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
Project Information:
- Route 13 between the Table Rock Lake bridge in Kimberling City and the Arkansas State line in Blue Eye
- Route 13 will receive a new asphalt driving surface, edge line rumble strips, shoulder repairs, guardrail, and road markings in various locations
- Work will be done during nighttime hours of 6 p.m. – 6 a.m. from Monday - Friday
Traffic Impacts:
- Traffic reduced to one lane where contractor crews are laying asphalt during nighttime hours
- Route 13 is Open
- Drivers on Route 13 will encounter flaggers and pilot cars directing them through the work zone. Drivers should wait for the pilot vehicle before proceeding through the work zones or before entering the work zones from a side road.
- No signed detour
- Drivers should find alternate routes
- Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching the work zone
- Crews and equipment close to traffic in areas
The work, originally scheduled for April 8, was delayed due to weather.
Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.

- Prime contractor: Capital Paving & Construction, Columbia
- Total project cost: $2.1 million
- Contract completion date: July 1, 2025
