JEFFERSON CITY, Mo – The Peavine Creek Bridge on Route C in Maries County is now open. Construction crews completed the rehabilitation work and reopened the bridge on Wednesday, May 22, 2024.
Crews from Capital Paving & Construction, LLC, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, closed Route C over Peavine Creek on April 1 to replace the bridge deck. The supporting structures of the bridge, built in 1965, are in good condition but the driving surface had deteriorated and needed to be replaced.
This was the final bridge in the project that also saw a new bridge built on Route 28 over Dry Fork Creek and the bridge deck replaced on Route P over Lanes Fork Creek.
