Where/When: Single lane Open at night on westbound U.S. Route 60 (James River Freeway) in Springfield
- between Campbell Avenue and Kansas Expressway
- 10 p.m. – 2 a.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights, October 7-9
- between Glenstone Avenue and National Avenue
- 10 p.m. – 2 a.m. Thursday, Monday & Tuesday nights, October 10, 14 & 15
What: Contractor crews will install truss signs on Route 60 (James River Freeway). Westbound Route 60 will have one (1) lane open as law enforcement slows and possibly stops traffic on Route 60 for up to 10 minutes at a time. Route 60 off-ramps will be open. Route 60 on-ramps will be Closed in work zones. This is part of the U.S. ROUTE 60 (James River Freeway) Widening Project Between National Avenue & Kansas Expressway.
Traffic Impacts:
- One (1) lane of westbound Route 60 (James River Freeway) Open at night as traffic slowed and possibly stopped for up to 10 minutes at a time
- between Campbell Avenue and Kansas Expressway, October 7-9
- Ramps CLOSED: Campbell Avenue on-ramp to Route 60 and National Avenue on-ramp to Route 60
- between Glenstone Avenue and National Avenue, October 10, 14 & 15
- Ramps CLOSED: Northbound Route 65-to-westbound Route 60 on ramp, southbound Route 65-to-westbound Route 60 on ramp and Glenstone Avenue on-ramp to Route 60
- Law enforcement will slow traffic on westbound Route 60
- Eastbound Route 60 (James River Freeway) Open
- Drivers urged to find alternate routes. No signed detours are planned
- Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching the work zone
- Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts
Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.

- Intersection Improvements at Campbell Ave are a cost share with the City of Springfield
