JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work planned in the mid–Missouri area Jan. 27 – Feb. 2, 2025. Weather conditions may postpone scheduled work. Many projects will include lane closures which could cause delays.
All Counties
Moving operations such as pothole patching, brush cutting, and pavement repair continue in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert for slow-moving equipment.
All work is weather permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
Boone County
Conley Road – Culvert replacement planned Jan. 27 – 29. The road will be CLOSED between Panda Express and IHOP nightly from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. All other entrances will be open.
U.S. Route 63 – Bridge construction continues on U.S. Route 63 between the Broadway overpass and Conley Road underpass in Columbia. U.S. Route 63 will remain open but in a head-to-head configuration with narrowed lanes and reduced speeds. This traffic pattern is expected to be in place through late 2025. Interstate 70 – New pavement construction continues in Columbia from Route B (Paris Road) to U.S. Route 63 through January 2027 as part of the Improve I-70 program. Motorists can expect intermittent and long-term lane closures for the duration of the project. Learn more at modot.org/improvei70/columbiakingdomcity.
Callaway County
Missouri Route 94 – Roadside work planned Jan. 28 – 30 from County Road 453 to County Road 458. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Eastbound I-70 – Pavement repair planned Jan. 29 from mile markers 137 to 138, near the Route J interchange. One lane will be closed from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Route A – Culvert replacement planned Jan. 29 from County Road 153 to County Road 154. The road will be CLOSED 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Route A – Culvert replacement planned Jan. 30 from County Road 1011 to County Road 1006. The road will be CLOSED 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Cole County
Route W – Culvert replacement work planned Jan. 27 – 30 through the city limits of Wardsville. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Cooper County
Route Z – Roadside work planned Jan. 28 – 31. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Crawford County
Interstate 44 – Pavement repairs planned Jan. 27 – 31 from mile marker 224 to mile marker 214.
Missouri Route 8 – Roadside work planned Jan. 27 – 31 from Missouri Route 19 to Route T. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route 8 – Roadside work planned Jan. 27 – 31 from Long Springs Road to Route 19. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route 19 – Roadside work planned Jan. 27 – 31 from Route HH to KP Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Missouri Route 49 – Roadside work planned Jan. 27 – 31 from Route 19 to Route Y. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Dent County
Routes 32 and H – Roadside work planned Jan. 27 – 31 in various locations. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route 19 – Roadside work continues at Standing Rock Creek, south of Route N, as part of a bridge replacement project. Motorists can expect intermittent lane closures for the duration of the work, which is expected to be complete in May 2025.
Howard County
Missouri Route 3 – Sweeping operations planned Jan. 27 – 31 from Missouri Route 129 to Missouri Route 5. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Missouri Route 87 – Roadside work planned Jan. 27 – 31 from Route J to Route E. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Missouri Route 124 – Pothole patching planned Jan. 27 – 31 from Missouri Route 240 to Route Y. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Laclede County
I-44 – Pavement repairs planned at mile marker 144.8, beginning Sunday, Jan. 26 at 6 p.m. and ending Monday Jan. 27 at 3 p.m. The right-hand (driving) lane will be closed during this time.
Route TT – Culvert replacement planned Jan. 27 – 28 from Route O to Simmons Road. The road will be CLOSED 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily.
Route K – Culvert replacement planned Jan. 27 – 31 from Route AC to Missouri Route 32. The road will be CLOSED 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily.
I-44 – Bridge maintenance planned Jan. 27 – Feb. 7 over Gasconade River Bridge nightly from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Maries County
Missouri Route 42 – Roadside work planned Jan. 27 – 31 from the city of Vienna to the city of Belle. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Moniteau County
Routes 87, F, H, T, and V – Pothole patching planned Jan. 27 – 31 in various locations. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Morgan County
Route 52 – Pavement work scheduled to begin Jan. 27, between Fairgrounds Road and Route 5 intersection. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2025.
Osage County
U.S. Route 63 – Core drilling planned Jan. 27 – 30 from Missouri Route 133 to County Road 501. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Missouri Route 89 – Pavement repair planned Jan. 27 – 30 from Route HH to Route FF. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Routes 50, 63, 100, 133 and T – Bridge maintenance planned Jan. 27 – 30 in various locations. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Phelps County
U.S. Route 63 – Bridge maintenance planned Jan. 27 at Yancy Mills. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Routes H and M – Culvert replacement planned Jan. 27 – 31. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Routes E and CC – Roadside work planned Jan. 27 – 31. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Route BB – Shoulder work planned Jan. 27 – 31 from Carson Street to Helen Street in St. James. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Outer Road 44 – Bridge maintenance planned Jan. 27 – Feb. 7. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Pulaski County
Route 133 – Roadside work planned Jan. 28 – 30 from the city of Crocker to the city of Dixon. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
Missouri Route 28 – Roadside work planned Jan. 28 – 33 in various locations. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
