Single lane of U.S. Route 63 in Columbia to close for pavement repairs

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – U.S. Route 63 in Columbia will narrow on Tuesday for pavement repairs. Construction crews working with the Missouri Department of Transportation will close one lane in each direction through the work zone between the Conley Road underpass and Broadway overpass from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Jan. 28 for pothole repairs. The lane closure could extend into Wednesday, Jan. 29, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., if necessary to complete the repairs.

Drivers traveling in Columbia on U.S. Route 63 south of Interstate 70 should consider alternate routes or allow extra time to travel through this area as backups are expected.

This work is in addition to the nighttime closure of Conley Road taking place 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Jan. 27 – 29

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention in work zones. Buckle Up. Phone Down.
