Planned Road Work for Mid-Missouri

Feb. 3 - 9, 2025

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work planned in the midMissouri area Feb. 39, 2025. Weather conditions may postpone scheduled work. Many projects will include lane closures which could cause delays.      

All Counties 

Moving operations such as pothole patching, brush cutting, and pavement repairs continue in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert for slow-moving equipment. 

All work is weather permitting, and schedules are subject to change. 

Boone County 

U.S. Route 63 Bridge construction continues on U.S. Route 63 between the Broadway overpass and Conley Road underpass in Columbia. U.S. Route 63 will remain open but in a head-to-head configuration with narrowed lanes and reduced speeds. This traffic pattern is expected to be in place through late 2025. The bridge construction is part of the Improve I-70 program. Learn more at modot.org/improvei70/columbiakingdomcity. 

Interstate 70 – New pavement construction continues in Columbia from Route B (Paris Road) to U.S. Route 63 through January 2027 as part of the Improve I-70 program. Motorists can expect intermittent and long-term lane closures for the duration of the project. Learn more at modot.org/improvei70/columbiakingdomcity. 

Callaway County 

Route A – Culvert replacement planned Feb. 5 – 6 from County Road 153 to County Road 154. The road will be CLOSED 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.  

Route A – Culvert replacement planned Feb. 7 from County Road 1011 to County Road 1006. The road will be CLOSED 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

I-70 – New pavement construction continues from the Boone County line to Kingdom City (near mile marker 145) as part of the Improve I-70 Program. Motorists can expect intermittent and long-term lane closures for the duration of the project. Learn more at modot.org/improvei70/columbiakingdomcity 

Cole County 

U.S. Route 54 Routine bridge inspection planned Feb. 3 – 6 at the Moreau River Bridge.  

Cooper County 

I-70 Routine bridge inspection planned Feb. 3 – 6 at the Missouri River Bridge at Rocheport.  

Crawford County 

I-44 – Pavement repairs planned Feb. 37 westbound only from mile marker 224 in Sullivan to Exit 214 west of Bourbon.  

Missouri Route 8 – Roadside work planned Feb. 37 from Long Springs Road to Route T. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Missouri Route 19 – Roadside work planned Feb. 3 – 7 from Route HH to KP Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Missouri Route 49 – Roadside work planned Feb. 3 – 7 from Route 19 to Route Y. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Dent County 

Route 19 Roadside work continues at Standing Rock Creek, south of Route N, as part of a bridge replacement project. Motorists can expect intermittent lane closures for the duration of the work, which is expected to be complete in May 2025. 

Howard County 

Missouri Route 87 – Roadside work planned Feb. 37 from Route J to Route E. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.  

Laclede County   

Route AD – Culvert replacement planned Feb. 3 between Audrain Road and the Gasconade River bridge. The road will be CLOSED from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. 

Route K – Culvert replacement planned Feb. 4 from Route AC to Missouri Route 32. The road will be CLOSED from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. 

I-44 – Bridge maintenance planned Feb. 3 – 7 over the Gasconade River Bridge nightly from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Maries County 

Missouri Route 42 – Roadside work planned Feb. 37 from the city of Vienna to the city of Belle. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Miller County 

U.S. Route 54 – Bridge maintenance planned Feb. 3 – 4 westbound only over the Saline Creek Bridge.  

Route C – Roadside work planned Feb. 3 – 7. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Moniteau County 

Routes 87, F, H, T, and V – Pothole patching planned Feb. 37 in various locations. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Morgan County 

Missouri Route 52 Pavement work continues between Fairgrounds Road and Missouri Route 5. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2025. 

Osage County 

U.S. Route 63 – Core drilling planned Feb. 37 from Missouri Route 133 to County Road 501. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Missouri Route 89 – Pavement repairs planned Feb. 37 from Route HH to Route FF. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Routes 50, 63, 100, 133 and T – Bridge maintenance planned Feb. 37 in various locations. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Phelps County 

Routes H and M – Culvert replacements planned Feb. 37. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Routes E, T and CC – Roadside work planned Feb. 37. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Route BB – Shoulder work planned Feb. 37 from Carson Street to Helen Street in St. James. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Outer Road 44 – Bridge maintenance planned Feb. 3 7. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Pulaski County 

Route 133 – Roadside work planned Feb. 37 from the city of Crocker to the city of Dixon. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Missouri Route 28 – Roadside work planned Feb. 37 in various locations. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.
