Planned Roadwork for Northwest Missouri, Feb. 3-9

St. Joseph, Mo. – The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work the Missouri Department of Transportation has planned in the Northwest Missouri region for the week of Feb. 3-9.

There also may be moving operations throughout the region, in addition to the work mentioned below. Inclement weather may cause schedule changes in some of the planned work. Check the MoDOT Traveler Information Map at http://traveler.modot.org, or download the app for updated information.

Andrew County

Route C – Bridge maintenance at the One Hundred and Two River Bridge, Feb. 2-6.

Buchanan County

Interstate 229 – RAMP and BRIDGE CLOSED for bridge approach repairs from I-229 southbound to I-29 northbound, Feb. 5, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Caldwell County

Route D – CLOSED until further notice at the Shoal Creek Bridge due to deck deterioration. This project was let for contractor bidding in January and is scheduled to be reviewed at the February Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission meeting.

Chariton County

Route 11 – CLOSED at the Salt Creek Bridge for a bridge replacement project through March 2025. (Capital-Horner & Shifrin).*1

Route UU – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from Dooley Ford Road to Obryan Avenue, Feb. 4-5, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

Carroll County

Route J - CLOSED at the Bridge Creek Bridge for a bridge replacement project through May 2025. (Capital-Horner & Shifrin).*1

Daviess County

Routes KK, MM, V and VV – Pothole patching, Feb. 3-7.

Livingston County

U.S. Route 36 – Pavement repairs in both directions under the Canadian Pacific Railroad Bridge and U.S. Route 65 Bridge in Chillicothe. The roadway will be narrowed to one lane and a 16-foot width restriction will be in place. (Contractor: Magruder Paving, LLC).

Nodaway County

Route NN – CLOSED until further notice at the Platte River Bridge west of Parnell due to significant bridge deterioration. This bridge is currently scheduled for the March 2025 contractor letting through the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program. https://www.modot.org/route-nn-bridge-replacement-nodaway.

Putnam County

Route 129 – CLOSED at the North Blackbird Creek Bridge for a bridge rehabilitation project through February 2025. (Capital-Horner & Shifrin).*1
