SIKESTON – Northbound Interstate 55 will be closed as Missouri Department of Transportation works with the Missouri State Highway Patrol to help remove a semi truck from the median.
This section of roadway is located Exit 8 to Exit 14. Traffic will be detoured at Exit 8 to Route H north to Route U. At Route U drivers will turn west back on I-55 at exit 14.
Weather permitting, work will take place Friday, Feb. 21 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
