SIKESTON—Route 51 in Perry County will be reduced to one lane with a 10-foot width restriction as bridge maintenance crews perform maintenance on the Horse Island Chute Bridge.
This section of roadway is located near the Mississippi River between McBride, Missouri and Chester, Illinois.
Weather permitting, work will take place Wednesday, March 5 through Friday, March 14 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily.
The work zone will be marked with signs and temporary signals will be used to direct traffic. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
