About

The proposed project includes upgrading the existing Route 34/51 intersection to improve turning movements for tractor trailers and other larger vehicles. This will be accomplished by widening and increasing some of the radiuses at the existing intersection. The project also includes improvements to the pedestrian crossings and adding a section of sidewalk to connect to the existing pedestrian facility.

Tentatively, the project is expected to be let in February 2025. Construction could begin as early as spring 2025.  Work will be staged to allow the intersection to remain open with minor detours, as needed. Completion is anticipated in November 2025.
