In the Field
Construction Technician - Provides semi-skilled technical or paraprofessional support in connection with the construction of engineering projects.
Core Drill Assistant - Drives water and supply trucks to work sites, assists in preparing drilling equipment to obtain material samples and data for subsurface investigations.
Maintenance Worker - Performs routine, entry-level duties related to the maintenance of the state's roadways and facilities.
Materials Technician - Performs semi-skilled technical duties in the sampling, testing, and/or inspection of materials used in highway construction and maintenance projects.
Survey Technician - Assists the field survey party by making survey measurements for route surveys by operating various field equipment.
Traffic Technician - Performs semi-skilled technical or paraprofessional duties in connection with the collection and documentation of field and office traffic data used in traffic studies.
In the Office
Administrative Technician - Provides paraprofessional or technical support to one or more professionals in a unit, relieving professional staff of less complex professional responsibilities
Planning Technician - Provides basic technical or paraprofessional support of engineering projects and programs involving the collection, classification, and summarization of transportation planning data.
Information Systems Technician - Provides entry-level technical or paraprofessional system support, monitors computer systems, assists end users, and assists with programming tasks.
