Route ZZ Roundabout Construction in Greene

Project Facts:

• Install roundabout at four-way intersection of Greene County Route ZZ & Farm Road 182 to improve safety and traffic flow
• Installing a 10 foot multi-use path on the northeast, southeast, and southwest portions of the roundabout

• Approximately 8,100 vehicles per day use the intersection - 4% is truck traffic

Construction Date: Summer 2023

Prime contractor: Hartman & Company Inc., Springfield

Total project cost: $1.87 million

Contract completion date: November 1, 2024

Traffic Impacts:

• Intersection to remain OPEN during most of the project
• Intersection may be CLOSED intermittently, but not for long periods of time. Electronic message boards and news releases will warn the public of closures.
• No signed detour planned for the project
• Drivers urged to use alternate routes during construction to avoid the work zone
